Maria's Pizza
Opened in 1968 by Maria Risi and her husband Virgil.
Virgil worked at Masseys & Maria started making ten to fifteen pizzas a day.
As word around town spread about the delicious homemade pizza and pasta, Maria soon found herself overwhelmed with orders and Virgil left his job to help.
Although competition was scarce with only 2 other pizzeria's in Brantford at the time, Maria wouldn’t compromise on quality. Maria spent countless hours creating and perfecting recipes, from the homemade dough that would serve as Marias traditional crust, to the slow simmered sauce that has become a Brantford tradition. With a few locations over the years, we still continue to bring quality pizza and pastas, continuing the Brantford tradition!
Maria's Daughter Angie, her husband Doug and her daughter Milly are keeping the family tradition alive at the West Brant location, with the addition of new pasta dishes, delicious desserts, beer and take & bake options!

Solely Cannoli
Starting with a small order for a wedding, Solely Cannoli has grown into a thriving pastry business catering dozens of functions a year with customers even sending the cannoli to Italy!
Solely Cannoli has been the recipient of The Peoples Choice Award and the Overall Award at the Annual Decadents Chocolate Brunch Competition for their Nutella Flakey in 2015 and more recently received gold in the Readers Choice Awards for Brantford.
All the ingredients are sourced locally, the custards are homemade and each cannoli is hand rolled each day. With over a dozen varieties from traditional Sicilian filled with ricotta cheese to the s’mores filled with marshmallow cream, there is a cannoli to please every taste bud. It has expanded to other pastries including traditional rum cake, black forest & zeppoli all made in house.
Cannoli are available at Maria’s Pizza Pasta Pastry in West Brant made fresh everyday during regular business hours.
